Teh Huey Tzi was appointed as Chief Risk Officer at TNG Digital in January 2019. Huey Tzi reports to Chairman, the Board of Directors and the Board Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee of the Board. She is a dynamic and motivated professional with a very strategic mindset and is on a mission to create a successful balance between minimizing cost and looking after the customers' best interests as the Chief Risk Officer of TNG Digital.

Huey Tzi provides oversight of the organization’s spectrum of risk-taking activities, cutting across six key pillars including enterprise risk management, risk data, risk product design, fraud, info security and business continuity. In this role, Huey Tzi is responsible for providing independent review and oversight of enterprise-wide risks and leadership on risk issues, developing and maintaining a risk management framework and fostering a strong risk culture across the organization.

Over the course of her 23 years career, Huey Tzi have worked in multinational corporation spanning all aspects of risk, fraud, transformation, operations, internal control and compliance.

Prior to joining TNG Digital, she served as the Regional Head of Payment Risks, Consumer and Merchants at Grab, oversaw 7 regions across Southeast Asia. In Grab, she built new teams, departments and business process from scratch across Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and Myanmar. She initiated  process improvement culture within her teams and drive initiatives to manage risks.  

Huey Tzi joined eBay SEA in 2013, responsible for the Trust and Safety and Customer Experience platform. As a pioneer management in eBay SEA, she is tasked to drive the team to create a balance between risk and customer’s best interest, on top of ensuring the platform is safe and secure for both buyers and sellers.

Prior to that, Huey Tzi is a bank veteran. She spent a decade of her career in HSBC, holding different roles span across internal control, compliance, transformation projects, risk and operations. She was trained and worked in the firm’s  London and Hong Kong offices.

Huey Tzi started her career in audit and chartered secretarial firms. She holds a BBA degree in finance from the University of Hertfordshire.
